Macintosh SE not booting all the way up

Hello everyone, I have a Macintosh SE that I just purchased from eBay. When I go to boot it up, it comes up to the Happy Macs symbol, the welcome to Macintosh screen, and finally the desktop. But the desktop only shows for about 5 seconds or so, and then the "Mobius 1 page display" screen comes up. I think that's what it's called. Anyway, after the onepage display screen comes up, it gets stuck at the desktop, except there's no icons or anyting. Just the wallpaper, the mouse, and one icon that says "start". One other thing I thought I should mention is that the floppy drive is not ejecting discs or anyting. I plan to switch out the floppy drive with a working one, but first I want to figure out if it's a hard drive failure that is my problem. Thank you everyone! Sorry if I'm being vague with the symptoms that my computer is facing. I will gladly answer any questions that you guys have regarding the symptoms smile
