8500 USB Working but not working

Earlier in the year I bought myself a usb 1.1 PCI card for my Powermac. I installed it but never got around to testing it until today.  Imagine my surprise when the system profiler actually displayed 4 USB ports! Yay it sees the card!

Eagerly I connected a mouse, nothing happens. Okey mayve it just didn't like the mouse. So I tried my card reader, nope still nothing. The USB card does not detect things when they are plugged in. Has anyone else had this problem? I have the USB driver extension and mass storage extension enabled.

Re: 8500 USB Working but not working

I'm not sure about this, but I think you need to have specific drivers installed, and there's an option in the Installer for "USB Adapter Card Support", so you might give that a try.
