updating iBook g3 clamshell

I have a iBook g3 clamshell running OS X 10.03 and I want to update but I don't know what it can run just need to know what is the newest os it can run and how do I download it???

Apple does not offer old OS X releases for free - or at all for that matter. You'll need to purchase install CDs (or DVDs) from eBay or a reseller.

If you have a later Clamshell (366/466MHz) and 512MB+ of RAM, you could get away with Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger. Anything less and I would stick with 10.3 Panther.
