trying to install Mac OS X 10.3

so I was trying to install Mac OS X 10.3 on my iBook clamshell and the video I saw told me to erase the hard rive so I did but when it asked me what hard rive to put it on I clicked the hardrive and is came up with a warning saying I can't install it to this hardrive because a earlier version is not installed so now when I turn on my Mac it comes up with the flashing finder and question mark symbol if anyone can help me get Mac OS X 10.3 on to my laptop it would really hoelp.

Re: trying to install Mac OS X 10.3

Sounds like you have an Upgrade disc and not a full installer.

Daily Drivers: 27" iMac 2.8 GHz Quad-Core i7 (Late 2009), 21.5" iMac 2.7GHz Quad-Core i5 (Late 2013), 11" Macbook Air 1.6 GHz i5 (Mid-2011)
